Entrée de Beyrouth

Poème : « Prayer of a Troubled Mind »

I traveled churches and mosques,

Hoping to find divine forgiveness.

As my demons were feasting inside my brain,

My painful pilgrimage I continued.

My search for a higher power

Who would look at my blasphemous self,

Took me on a painful voyage

Following calls for prayers and ringing of bells.

Flaming asphalt burned my feet,

This pain I do not care for.

As my heretic beliefs have linger my mind

Into a frantic eternal war.
